She's Bald
I hate my hair.
I hate how I had tussles and hard times with something that is part of you.
I hate being only known for my hair.
I hate how messy it gets when I get up.
I hate how the loose, curly strands stick to my forehead when I sweat.
I hate how much money I have to spend on hair products for ONE head.
I hate my hair.
I don't hate that my mother knew someone who can cure the hate.
I don't hate how we drove to Philidephia to get the cure.
I don't hate smelling plugged in irons and hot sink water.
I don't hate the sound of scissors to hair.
I don't hate the sound of the buzz cutters to the scalp.
I don't hate that I shaved my head.
I don't hate how I don't need to fight anymore.
For standing out.
For doing something just because I wanted something different.
I hated my hair.
Now it's something that I could never be ashamed of.
