She's Fine
She can't contain the aching pain
A silver blade, she's always afraid
She frees the poison from her veins
Her blurry vision starts to fade
Three blocks away his strength decays
The bullet is in, the chamber spins
The trigger waits through his delay
The metal is pushed against his skin
The rooftop is her final stop
She can't be strong, she doesn't belong
It seems to weightless just to drop
The edge calls out like a Siren Song
Her parents say that she's okay
She overreacts, needs to relax
Her parents tell her it's a phase
But she's slipper deeper through the cracks
They always claim that he's to blame
No causation, justification
He doubts himself and knows the shame
Feelings left without validation
And so she hides the pain inside
Once in a while, gives a practiced smile
Not admitting her heart has died
While her parents are in denial
It's too late and too much weight
And she cuts too far, too deep to scar
Too loose trigger brings an early fate
On the ledge above she slips too far
