SHI

I saw her in my dreams last night

She was bigger than life... So it seemed last night

A glow behind her and her feet didn't even touch the ground

As a matter of fact, she was floating in the clouds

At her feet, I bowed

As the tears quickly escaped my eyes

She picked me up and held me tight

I held on for dear life as I continued to cry

Then, I apologized, "I'm so sorry Shi... I'm so sorry Shi.

I participated in a family beef that wasn't even mine.

I wish we could have made amends before he took you from our lives.

Please forgive me for holding onto my foolish pride.

I haven't been sleeping right

I toss and turn at night

I blame myself for not being my your side."

Once my little cousin, now an angel living in the sky

Many times, I asked the Lord why... did she have to die

Her hug was the warmest thing ever, as the weights lifted off of my shoulders

I guess all I really needed was some closure

She gave one last smile, as to let me know

That all was forgiven, and I had to let her go

Because she was exactly where she belonged... Home

and it was time for me to move on, then I awoke

I swear to GOD, it was the realest conversation we never spoke...

I LOVE YOU SHI AND MISS YOU DEARLY
