Shine down on me

Oh bright light,
Please will you shine,
Down on me,
Warm me up so tenderly?
It is so cold here,
And I feel alone,
Surrounded by nothing but darkness,
I have nowhere to go.
So please,
Bright light,
Shine through the black,
Show me the way,
So I can go back,
Into the light,
and into the warmth,
Show me how to come home.
