Shining in the Distance

Purity that shines so bright Of people who are young, Pure as light that shines from above, The light from the moon, That shines brightly, Month after month Year after year Slowly growing smaller Growing more distant, Seeming to shrink As time goes by Growing into the distance, Just like my heart, Seeming to be further away No matter how hard I try to find it Stretching into infinity The distance never shrinking, Yet glowing from afar Shining like a star So very far from here.
