Shining grace
I have lived through sorrow and grief.
I stared while my family ripped apart.
I watched my mother fall,
to the depths of hell.
not once,
not twice,
but many time.
paying debts and bills all day.
I watched my father,
risen like a king,
all the time.
from the time where the sun burns brightly
till the ashen grey nightly,
gambling and drinking his heart away.
I, myself.
I grew up never knowing what family was
I was born,
I was told,
what i was told?
"People look down on us because we're poor"
I grew up in poverty.
I didn't have the fancy clothes,
fancy shoes,
fancy jewelry, or the
"fancy" technologies.
But i would never stoop so low
to as believing,
that people viewed me as nothing but to be pitied for.
I will wait for that magical moment,
and destory those faces of pity.
I will achieve those fancy clothes,
fancy shoes,
fancy jewelry, and those
"fancy technologies"
I swore when opportunity opened
my shining grace will consume every population
of the human race.
