shining star

It's been years and still i remember his face

as i walked home from school he crossed my path

he stared deep into my eyes and asked if i was okay

i gave a small laugh as this beautiful person thought i was crazy

he rode along side me as i made my way home

our breif meeting was based on a misunderstanding

yet i took no offense and instead found comfort

i smiled like i had never smiled before

then we parted almost as quickly as we met

i did not feel sadness but hope that i waould see him again

but that was the first and last time we would meet

i would walk faster some days and slower other days

in hope i could catch a glimpse but to no avail

years have passed and i have forgotten his name

even so i can never forget the boy who shone brighter than the sun
