Shit You Can't Say To Your Teachers

I am at a  lost

Striving to be creative

After being taught to filter

After having my mistakes stigmatized

My originality unsuitable for the classroom

My voice silenced in my own education

Kids take chances

Unafraid of being wrong

Not yet aware of the future shame

of bubbling in the wrong circle

of writing down the wrong number

Having being "educated" out of creative capacity

Education doesn't foster creativity

It stifles it

We aren't taught to grow into our originality

We are taught to grow out of it

Wrong is the student's biggest fear

As it is the wrong answers that determine your future

Red marks on a paper defining your capabilities

Grades are no longer made by the student

But are what make the student

Out of the box thinking won't get you the A

The A is all that matters now
