Shooting Stars of Hope
Before you came,
the night sky was very dark.
There were faint stars,
full of little light and reasons.
But when you came along,
everything brightened.
You were the shooting star in my sky.
You shot across it,
brightening it up.
I felt happier,
safer with all the light.
But,
we all know shooting stars don't last for long.
When you left,
the sky went black.
The stars had fully disappeared,
leaving empty spaces in the sky once more.
I saw no reason for anything anymore,
I thought the stars would never shine again.
But then,
another shooting star crossed the sky,
brighter than the first.
I had a feeling of hope, that this one would stay.
And it did.
