A short detour

The dynamic pattern that is me will, one day Stop being dynamic. The twinkling stars are not shining beautifully for me, They just are. I was born into self awareness only to learn The story isn’t my own. If the universe has no purpose for me, then I am free to dictate my purpose. My life is the only thing I will experience, so it is the only thing that matters. I know my life will end, but in the meantime I will experience emotion, Good food, the sunrise, and being with another person. By doing the things that make me feel good, I get to decide what this all means. Someday soon, My life will end. Every humiliation will be forgotten Every mistake I’ve made will not matter The eternity before my life passed in a moment A short, dreamless sleep. I wonder if my moment after will be like that.
