How many steps did it take to walk across that stage? 20 in total.
20 steps, 20 seconds, less than a minute before I became a high school graduate.
Fears
The ultimate fear of what happens now
It took 20 steps in 20 seconds for the fear to hit
Doubt
Will I succeed in my new journey?
Will I grow up to be what I want to be?
It took 20 seconds, 20 steps, to ask myself these questions
Change
New places, new faces, new environments
Nothing will be the same

The first steps are the easiest
6,7,8,9,10
I have grabbed this cover, the cover to my new life

I take pictures; I feel relieved
15,16,17,18, 19
But there is also hope
Hope
I can change the world now
What happens in the next few years will change someone's life; it will change my life
My dreams could come true
All the work that I have put in
All the late nights
All the high school moments will be behind me
Life is in front of me
A clean slate, a new chance, the beginning of this long journey

It took 20 steps, in 20 seconds to realize that my life would never be the same
That I was now an adult, that I had new responsibilities, new expectations
But also a new chance to change the world.
