The Shot of Fear

Bang

"There's a gun."

My freind says

and it rang

in our ears once it's done

"This happens nowadays."

I assure her

As she shakes

I hold her hand

as this shooting occurs

There are stakes

but I don't want my friend to misunderstand

I'll just hug her

till it's over

I just wanna

be able to change where we were

moreover

Shooter's gonna

See us soon

Look inside

the classroom glass

to a bullet we aren't immune,

few have died

and we won't last
