The Shot Heard Round The World

You took the shot and I felt it

They all left and just melted

I took the shot and you felt it

They all left and just melted

We destroy ourselves

Peacefully becoming nothing

Your mind is slowly erased

Replaced with an empty space

In case you care, I know you don’t

Why doesn’t anyone care?

A shot was heard round the world

Feel it in everyone’s head, in their veins

Another shot down, round the world

Hear it in everyone’s tears, in their veins

You took the shot and I felt it

They all left and just melted

I took the shot and you felt it

They all left and just melted

They love to kill themselves

To pack their lives up on shelves

Out of the ground, into the sky

Only to kiss the dirt and lie

Struggle against the strong grapevines

Give in again to the strong fine lines

A shot was heard round the world

Feel it in everyone’s head, in their veins

Another shot down, round the world

Hear it in everyone’s tears, in their veins

You took the shot and I felt it

They all left and just melted

I took the shot and you felt it

They all left and just melted
