Shot at Love

Once upon a time there was a beautiful young lady unlike no other

Others often labled her as gorgeous, sometimes even perfect

Perfect is the last thing she saw whenever she viewed her reflection

Reflections don't matter! is what she read on social media

Social media taught her self love

Love, she said out loud and laughed

Laughter was the best thing she could ever do

Do it, she told her self and began taking small steps

Step by step she got closer to the boy she tought was cute

Cute is a good word to describe you she told him

Him, the ideal guy to go out with she imagined

Imagine us going on a date she said, hopeful

Hope to see you friday afterschool he replied.

He replied! she exclaimed happily

Happy she was that her dream became true

True is the fact that she had a shot at real love.
