Should I Change?

“Gran, gran” was the name of,

The wise and strong woman of these girls lives.

There were some self-confident conflicts,

With these young girls.

“Child you best be getting to know y’all selves,

Y’all is some beautiful chocolate kisses."

Who should know hold to kiss and love y’all selves,

But I admit I did have some confidential confident conflicts.

"Them white-headed rednecks in Mississippi were my problem calling us ugly,

Because of our color their destiny to tear our race down slowly.

But we fought for our rights and won peacefully,

And y’all don’t need to be fighting for no other race but yours."

My Gran-Gran is right we need to be ourselves, and love ourselves,

For we are sweet cocoa kisses who make our world beautiful.

We must believe we are beautiful inside and outside,

We are pure gold, and that will never ever change.

Should I change?
