Should I Have Stayed

Dear Cataloguers of Memories and Deliverers of Verdicts,
Should I have stayed?
Was it right?
Life then, felt
Devoid of light.
Why, every night
The halls filled,
With anger and gall.
As they fought
Fraught with spirits.
But then, a light.
To cleanse this blight,
My brother.
I left.
As if by way,
Of theft.
Across the arid,
To the plains.
From dry Arizona,
By plane, to Wyoming.
My future, here
Is bright I swear.
This was
For the best.
For me, at least.
From my own behest.
Did I think of them?
Yes, a little.
Their relationship,
It was brittle.
I told myself
They’d be okay.
Several months passed
I got a call, about
An angry brawl.
My Parent,
They’d been stabbed
By the other.
A week later,
A now ex-lover
Was then errant.
But now,
They seem fine.
The other sips
Their wine, content
The first has
A thirst,
For life.
A marriage, torn asunder.
Was it life anew in triplicate?
Or merely a blunder?
So in the end,
Was what I did
Alright?
Should I have stayed?
Eagerly awaiting your reply,
