Show them whats beneath the filter

as girls, we use many different kinds of filters

makeup, to hide the dark circles under our eyes from a lack of sleep,

acting like a bitch, so people don't bother to get to really know us,

put filters on pictures, to make our lives look glamorous,

we get so caught up in our filters

we lose sight of reality,

the reality that our dark circles were caused by crying all night

because he posted a picture with another girl,

the reality that we are not bitches

we just act like it

because last time we let someone in, we got hurt,

the reality that we really don't need filters

because we are beautiful just the way we are,

no matter what the world says,

no matter who tries to tear us down,

no matter who breaks our heat.

take off the filter,

show the real you.
