Shower Floor
Every night I sit on the shower floor
I turn on the water
And over my body I let it pour
Every night I sit on the shower floor
I turn music up
and I lock the bathroom door
Every night I sit on the shower floor
I try not to think
About the notes and pictures in the drawer
Every night I sit on the shower floor
Our love made me rich
But without you I’m poor.
Every night I sit on the shower floor
I try not to cry, I try not to shake
But my strength is gone and my heart is too sore.
Every night I sit on the shower floor
But I don’t know how to live
Knowing you aren’t there anymore
Every night I sit on the shower floor
I stare up at the sharp cold silver
Wondering what it would be like to watch my blood pour.
Every night I sit on the shower floor
Slice after slice it’ll never be enough
Because you’ve already cut me down to the core.
Tonight I’ll sit on the shower floor
I’ll turn on the water
and over my lifeless body it will pour.
