Siamese Cats

Love stroking you,

Totally,

Make me feel at ease,

Relaxing.

A childless man,

What am I to do,

Keep some pets,

Keep them close to you.

Sickness & Fleas

Pain in the ass,

Medication, Vetinary bills,

Got to vent this angry gas.

Purring, closeness,

Clever, and smart,

Majestic looking,

The female is quite a tart.

Fighting to mark territory,

Fighting for home,

Fighting for food,

Fighting to be owned.

Rats, mice,

Foals too,

Get those fangs into anyting,

Bringing a gift for you.

Stroking, caressing,

Bellies exposed through and through,

Total trust, total love,

Daddy, I belong to you.

Most dog like cats possible,

Obedient and loyal,

Need to be around people,

No wonder they are seen as Royal.

Sleep, sleep and sleep again,

Wake up hungry,

Wanting fun,

Only to do this again.

Why do I keep you,

Love you so much,

Remind me of my childhood,

Cherish, hapy times, heart crush.

As I sleep at night,

You join me in bed,

Warm and cosy,

Until its time to be fed.

Wake up and go again,

Feed, stroke and sleep,

You let me know you love me,

Purring constantly.

WestLondonMan

Like a lot of us been through shitty parts in my life. In 2018 I was living in London, attending a part time acting school. It was a great time. Also I was presenting at an event, one of the tutors at the acting school took me under his wing and mentored me. Part of that process he taught me how to write poetry, or at least express myself through it. Now, I write a poem every day, I write for a hobby. I've had a varied career, the only thing I can say is writing is the best things I've ever done. I absolutely love it. Have got 14 publications on a short story website and launching my own website in December 2022, http://www.PeterGreenhall.com Feel free to add any comments. I hope you enjoy reading my poems as much as I enjoyed putting them together.
