Sick

Waves are crashing

I look up

Sun is shining

I look down

Sand is hot

Beneath my hands

I take a deep

Breath

Where am I?

Confused

I search my

Pockets

Nothing.

I look to the

Sea

I've read many things about being

Stranded

I don't like it

I'm Alone

Missing something

Mom?

Where are you?

I need you

The feeling is

Devistating

I feel empty

Like a lost

Puppy

Or a child

lost in a grocery store

I call out to her

No reply

I grasp the sand

It's hot

Reminds me of that time

When I was sick

Very hot

Mom was there

She brought me

Soup

and

Medicine

Things were better

Then

Now

I sit and wait

For her to

Return

But,

When?
