Sick of Being Sick

Im so sick of being sick.

Im going to need to get better quick.

Its already been over a week though,

I hope the infection doesn’t grow!

A nasty cold, chills and a cough

thats when I knew something was off.

Doctor said “this works like gold”.

‘If you say so i’m sold!’

Next thing you know it was my mouth

with my throat everything was going south.

Swollen, sore and now stressed.

We went back for another test.

No mono, no strep.

To the lab was the next step.

Worried, waiting was making it worse.

Then walked in the young nurse.

“I have some great news!”

I began to break through my blues.

She said “you aren’t gonna die” with a laugh!

“But you are positive for Staph.”
