sickening vision with a hint of past

You got me tripping

taking that double vision of a life

kissing the canvas

painting you blue

I didn't just tilt the world sideways to see the yellow paint hide under those red eyes

I thought turning around could hide me behind

I thought reading through those books with the smell of paper

or hiding behind that scented candle in her dark room

poetry could be the essence of existence

or I could be wrong

double

double

triple

the world

turn the cold blue snow into dirt

hide it underneath

tuck it away

pull the past out and drop it off

kick it into the back

turn off the lights

the cold tiles

blood.
