Sickly Summer

The beads drop from my head once more

Is this sweat? Or are these tears?

These days, it's hard to tell

You called my name once more

Once more did I delve into the depths

Dark, dark, and more dark

My limbs are heavy in their motion

To see, to feel, to hear, to speak

All these and more, it disappears

You are the phantom that haunts my dreams

The rapture that keeps me bounded

Within these chains, you have kept me

Even so, I loved the pain

The pain was masked with false pleasure

Moments between dreams and reality become false

Indistiguishable; unattainable

The forbidden fruit that has granted me knowledge

With knowledge, came sorrow

And so I am forced to learn

Exposed to the pain, I become

I wait forever
