Sickness Called Pain

Pain.

It's such a simple word with so much meaning. My type of pain stems down into my very soul and extends to the cells in my fingertips. The pain pulses in my temples and leaves a gasoline trail sparked by anger behind This pain goes into the bones of my spine wreaking havoc, contorting my body as I sob on the floor crying.

Pain.

Its tracks continue through every fiber and cell of skin of my body, mapping out all the places you ever touched me. I'm a blueprint of the very masterpiece you created.

Pain.

It's not a feeling anymore or an adjective. It settles in the creases and folds of my brain, stabbing me at my memories of your smile. It infects my ears and beats on my eardrums with a low melody of our last fight. It finally reaches my heart. Once the birthplace of my happiness but now I mourn for its slow rhythmic beats. It's the countdown clock to an emotional bomb hidden within. As pain sets in all the places it can find, I lie on the ground. Motionless, silent and tearfully lay in complete agony. I wait for this virus to run its course.
