Side Effects of Love

Love.
Love can make you blind
Can make you see things you haven’t seen before
Make lessons that you can never forget
Lessons that are hard to swallow at best
That sometimes love pushes you to your limits
Sometimes gives you something to live for
Gives hope when there seems to be none
Hope which wasn’t as hard to be found in the long run

Love.
Love isn’t something that can be straight forward
Isn’t the easiest road to travel
The one thing that catches you off guard every time
One reason that is suppose to defy time
Reason is lost when compared to love
Is it because it is the irrationality of it all
It doesn’t mean you are lucky
Doesn’t mean you have lost everything
Means you just have to embrace it with open arms

You
I love
And that is what matters for now

They say that time can heal all wounds. Yet, we are the only species that uses the concept of time. I use my words to help try to relieve the thoughts that run through my mind and my past that I never say I am running from but more so avoiding and pretending I have fully overcame it.
