Side Effects... of Solitary Confinement

I cried, cried and cried some more for you to come back

I was too young; I didn’t know you would be gone forever,

Still I wanted to do nothing

You were the only one I would ever have

And now there’s no more

What happened to it just being me and you?

So I blamed myself, did you not love me anymore

I let this happen

Years and years go by and I finally begin to understand

Once you’re gone there’s no coming back, I went to see this lady

And there was never nothing said, there was nothing wrong….

So they thought,

I cry myself to sleep every night waiting to be with you again

What is sleep anymore?

Big bags under my eyes and still I wouldn’t talk

Finally one day I decided to talk, but it was the wrong words to use

Everything and everyone angered me

And it’s all because of you

Losing you at 5

Wonder what you would be like if you were still alive
