Side of The Road

"Homeless

Will work for food."

His possessions are a milk crate

Camo cargo pants

And a torn up shirt and hat.

He sits there with his sign

Nobody knows who he is

Or if he is actually homeless;

He has a run down

Painted over and rusted

White large van;

His eyes have so much expression.

They follow you,

Staring through car windows

Pleading for a few coins,

Which nobody gives him.
