Sidelined


There it was

That pop and crackle,

Sending chills of fear down the strongest of backs.

Your knees hit the floor as you cry to the sky.

 

it comes now,

closer, and closer

that long awful thing

shining in the light,

frozen to the touch.

isolated. 

 

There it is...

That long cold lonely bench

Sitting as you wait

Waiting for the chance to stand once more.
