sierra burgess is not a loser

sierra burgess is not a loser.

she is a magnificent beast and she is beautiful. sierra burgess knows this and it’s a shame if others do not.

sierra burgess is not a loser.

she gets the hot guy who just so happens to also be athletic, smart, funny, and kind. she understands how to talk to the guy, a skill that is lost on me.

sierra burgess is not a loser.

she creates monumental change in the mean popular girl at her school, who isn’t like the one i know, a pothead sex fiend.

sierra burgess is not a loser because she is a fictional character.

her actions have no real consequences and everything will always end up fine for her.

so stop trying to feed us this hollywood bullshit.

we are not naive.

do not tell me that an overweight girl can get the perfect star quarterback because that is simply not true.

if i tried to get even one guy to look at me i would have to sew my mouth shut, strip down to where i am nothing more than a submissive sex symbol, and sell my soul to get his.

too many times i have been told that i have too many thoughts, too many opinions, too many aspirations for a man.

but i’m not dealing with men, am i? i am dealing with foolish boys that have grown up in an age where they think they are entitled to touch girls and satisfy themselves whenever they please while i am left broken and bruised, struggling to stay afloat while attempting to attain all of society’s standards.

so.

sierra burgess is not a loser.

it seems like she has everything she could ever need.

This is a statement piece. This is really good writing. Check out a piece I posted called I'm Taking It Personal, I think you'll relate
