A Sign

There is a girl i know who has been seeing the love of her life in her dreams since the age of five. When my father saw my mother for the first time he whispered to his sister that she was the kind of woman he wanted to marry. At night when I look at the sky I wonder who I will be watching it with ten years from now, under the arms of a lover or surrounded by my own creations. I don’t know if soulmates are real, if there is only one person fated for me. I know that I haven’t met him yet, or I have, but he hasn’t noticed me . But whoever he is
where ever he is, I’ve imagined our life together. I’ve imagined holding our first child together, I’ve began to picture our first trip to Europe together and I guess what I want to say is that I haven’t been given a sign, I don’t know what makes him tick or the things he loves or what his childhood was like, but I’ll wait. I’ll wait until he is standing there in front of me, inside, outside, in the rain, or under the endless sky, telling me that he loves me and feeling this sensation in my bones, my cells whispering in unison, silently chanting “want a sign? here here here, here is your sign.”
