SILENCE

Silence.

I’m choosing not to speak.

Everything I say, I say it on repeat.

My answer- I don’t know.         Silence.

Yes. I really do.

But the truth is insufficient, so the lie is what you choose.

Silence.

I’ve chosen not to speak.

I know I’m strong but in your eyes I know that I am weak.

Speak up.

My inner voice says inside.

But actions speak louder than words, I’ve come to realize.

Silence.

I know I’m not the only one.

But who we are and what we’ll do will decide on who

We become.

Silence.

Nothing will ever change.

If I don’t find that voice, progress won’t be made.

Hello.

I’m stronger than you think.

Just wait until I’ve found my voice, change is what you’ll see.
