silence

i found you in a silent place where the trees fell quiet and the world felt far away like the night before the day and i didn’t know your name but my heart knew you better every step i begin to take kept leading me on faster and it felt like falling slowly like down from the clouds like i finally found a place in the home i fit better now we were written in the sky drawn out to the stars even when i was blinded and couldnt see i was led closer to your heart every path i took brought you back to the beginning and end of the story in a happy ever after laugh i was lost in my mind trying to be enough then you stared at me like i was the key to your heart like i was the answer to your love and now every little thing every guitar string i play feels a little more alive like the colors came back inside like i finally learned to free myself from the guilt of not saying goodbye and it feels like flying in the clouds the sky in my chest like i finally am enough like i finally fit in best we were written in paper a poem on a book even when i couldn’t see every letter you took so if the night gets too quiet if the sky whispers goodnight and the world is hard to face i will be the anchor by your side you can find me in this place i like to call home because love isn’t a feeling it isn't a letter printed on a romance book it’s the way we chose to stay to breathe one more day through the darkness trying to take lives through the night into the light
