Silence


The quiet that exists during the day is loud Any hushed murmur roars in a crowd The hum and the growl of pain day-to-day Is only repelled in my nightly escapades To write in the twilight Is to know the earth's soul I can hear all the silent stories stones told With the brief and crisp winter winds Darting through my hair I can write for the moon Hiding from the suns flare All alone In the dark In the silence of my breath There And only there Is where I write my best
