Silence

The silence is loud tonight.

The slow rumbling of the nothing is deafening.

I'm trying to drown out this quiet with music, games, anything.

Because the truth is, this nothingness is lethal.

Always in the back of your mind, knawing at your concious until nothing is loud about you.

And then someone comes along and tells you they see something.

See something behind the the window pane of non existence that you've built for yourself.

They laugh, and suddely the silence is filled with the sound of them.

Suddenly their smile is the only thing worth seeing.

My eyes shut like butterfly wings made of shrapnel and I dream of a life where

Oceans of sadness don't exist.

Where you can be a thousand leagues submerged in happiness.

Everyone has a story. I tell mine every day, but they say a whisper can only be heard up close and personal. I guess that's why no one knows mine yet.
