Silence

I've been ignored again
Do I even exist
I speak but there are no words
My world is filled with people
Yet they do not see me

Do they not see me
I'm human too
I'm just like them
With one difference
I am silence

I have friends
I have family I think they see me
Like a figment of their imagination
It's a strange place to be
Muted and lonely

I'm floating now
A whisper of wind
Floating like a feather
Soft
Shhhh
