Silence

Silence

They say he is crazy

They say he is just weak and fragile

He sits here, waiting for the voices to stop

And to leave him alone

He sits hoping that the pain and suffering fade

Feeling with no control

Powerless and voiceless

They get louder and louder

Till he eventually breaks

And the blood drips to the floor

Until the day comes

He loses all hope

No one listens to his silent screams

No one believes him

They won’t listen!

He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes

Until the lever is pulled

And the voices and pain and suffering move away

They listen to him now

Silence will never fail to one

It will eventually take over

Till the day comes when everyone becomes quiet

And listens.
