Silence

I am here to tell the story Of the ones that came before me Who did not have the strength to tell you Or the voice to make some noise Because now they say we are incriminating ourselves No one is trying to give out a hand to help What happened to the new generation? Who was supposed to change the nation For the ones after us But now nobody is doing nothing and now our trust is lost A victim to violence But all I hear is silence Why isn't anybody trying to change the way we live Is that all we have to give? Is silence Silence To afraid to stand up for anything that we believe For us I do grieve Because we are the ones who are supposed to save the world from poverty What happened to society? What happened to remembering the forefathers who fought before us? What happened to freedom of speech in America?
