Silence

it is in the silence we die in

it is in the silence we think, stare, understand, and hurt in

silence makes us overthink and drive ourselves into insanity

while it feels like time has stopped for just a moment

and in that moment we die a little bit inside

but when that silence is over

we have this feeling stuck inside that maybe it is just too much to handle

too much for us to bare to take another step

another breath

another thought in our minds

then someone comes along

and it all seems worth it

all of the heartache, tears, happiness, and anger of it all

maybe that is what love really is

that someone who makes all those horrific thoughts escape your mind

like how leaves fall from the tree in autumn

maybe, just maybe

that is why we have the silence

to be cured by someone we love
