Silence.....
Silence.....
Silence is golden,
‘tis been said
for many a day.
Silence, for me,
is not;
what is happening,
here, inside my head.
Silence of a drumstick,
pounding out a beat
to big brass band.
Silence becomes
with much, much more noise,
a vehicle stuck
in traffic jam.
Then silence;
roars and pounds,
as it recedes to and fro,
like the ocean pounding
on a stormy winter’s night.
Silence is golden;
to me it’s more a
deafening cry of anguish:
as I cry out instead,
‘Please, someone help me,
just to be understood;
I am who I am,
did not ask to be this way.’
Your rejection
and avoidance,
your ignorance of my needs;
the hurt that I feel,
coming directly from you,
does not help my silence,
the need inside my head.
Silence,
Silences,
Silent,
Is what coming from you.
Where is the kind word?
Where is understanding?
of how I feel,
the knowledge
of where I really stand,
with someone like you...
Silence...
