Silence

It started two years ago

Three month after marriage

Her husband was the reason

And she didn’t speak of it

Bruises

Scratches

Scars

And tears

Her kid is covering her ears

The other ladies stare

They whisper behind her back

She feels like nobody cares

She keeps her feelings to herself

Inside she's crying

On the outside she staying strong

More bruises

More scratches

More scars

And definitely more tears

She is going on four years

One lady asks

She says nothing

Another asks

She says it’s personal

Again she was asked

And she spills it all

No more bruises

No more scratches

No more scars

No more tears

The end is here

No more pain

No more suffering

But this was not the end

She wanted to share

The pain she felt

With someone near

It started one year ago

Two months into college

Three years of watching

Now she knows the pain
