Silence

I wait in silence

We all wait in silence really...

We have storms building up inside our heads

For what?

Nothing

We are pushed aside

Ignored

We are smaller than someone else, in some way

And for some reason that has an effect on how important we are

So we wait

And we wait

And we wait

But everybody has somewhere to be

Something to do

So we wait more

And as time passes we slowly wither

Our minds begin to crumble

Our bones begin to rust

Our skin begins to flake away

Our eyes lose all their trust

We slowly lay down our tired bodies

And as we drift off

We finally begin to feel peace

Although we are dying, inside and outside

We have peace

We no longer have to deal with the screams

The fights

The anger

The fear

The dread

And that awful hope.

The feeling of lies building up inside us, all floats away

Our whole lives pass us by as we focus on one little thing we believe to be important

We spend so much time fighting for it

We waste every precious moment

Every minute of that struggle

Filling up every page in our story

But when that story ends, our final chapter ends, and our book closes

We rest forever in our graves

In silence
