Silence

Cold as ice,

I shiver at night.

Tears stream down my face.

No one notices.

My invisibility blooms like a patch of lotuses.

Desperation overtakes my desolation.

I scream.

I shout.

No one comes.

No one cares.

Now forever,

I am theirs.

Succumbed to the isolation.

I prefer it that way.

I bask in my loneliness,

to this very day.
