Silence

To be silenced is a monstrosity,

Never consenting to amplify your gift of sound.

To be silenced is a curse,

Never enabling your words to float in thin air.

Silence,

Has condemned our soul to stay concealed,

Within the deepest and farthest places

away from the world.

Silence,

Has condemned our soul to be vulnerable against tyranny,

Without the musical voice of our soul.

We are forced to hide,

In a deep ditch,

With a bottomless pit,

With no way to escape,

And to be stuck there for infinity’s sake.

The walls keep closing in on you.

Suffocation kicks in.

We can never rebel back,

As we have condemned ourselves,

To silence.
