Silence

Did you hear the steps before you

Did you come to see me out the door

I sit in wait

I want to be heard

Now silence has fallen on me

I am unable to speak

Unable to get my words to be heard

I fall to my knees with silent screams

Can you hear me I repeat

I look to the person on the other side of my mirror

I start to cry and say Please can you hear me tell me so

You are my friend on the other side

The mirror looks but never replies.

I get my courage to speak my mind

A fist is raised and I stand my ground

I turn and look and just walk away.

Silence is no more

Now I can speak

I found myself
