Silence

Biting down on thoughts of sorrow,

Tears that fall like rain.

Come to me,

And wash away,

This heart that's filled with pain.

Simplistic thoughts,

They come and go,

But the hurt,

It still remains.

Throbbing.

Weeping.

Bleeding.

Screaming.

Crying out in vain...

Dimmest flame,

You give to me,

Hope for serenity.

A whispered prayer in the night,

End this calamity.

Silence come

And sweep away

The voices in my mind.

Sweetest pain,

You give to me,

Reason to feel alive.

Throbbing.

Weeping.

Bleeding.

Screaming.

Crying out in vain...

Numbing,

Ceasing,

Ending here.

Silence in my mind...
