Silence and Remembrance

Silence. It fell Almost as easily as the towers did. The world Stopped spinning. For an hour, For a day, The center of everything Was that city, That street. The nation, Who was strong For over 200 years Refused to crumble Under the weight of what had happened. Remember when, Those towers fell? The Pentagon crumbled? Heroes died in a Pennsylvania field? Eleven years, 121 months, A million hardships. We still stand, Strong, proud The land of the free The home of the brave We will always remember September eleventh 2001
