Silence cuts like a knife

I once hurt someone. Someone that I'll never forget, blonde luscious hair that seemed to blow effortlessly through the breeze. Blue eyes that sparkled so full of hope, a voice as sleek as satin that would make sirens swim to their doom. Yet still I hurt you, I needed not a knife nor a bat. No not even words were needed for that, instead it was silence that fatally did strike. "do you want to go out tonight?" That was left unread. "My friends are having a bonfire want to come over?" What else did I do but leave it unread. "Do you still love me" That was left unread. Followed by call after call thirty four in total, until my phone did lay silent and for some reason then and only then I cried.
