Silence Isn't Always Key

From my window I watch them pass by

Small, young, tall, bold

My gaze drifts from their fearul eyes

Injustice, death, acceptance, lies

They march bravely to their end

Sorrow, fear, alone, distrust

I draw my curtians to stop the wind

Hatred, unrighteous, hurt, bend

Stop the wind from coming in

From my window I hear them cry

Sorrow, loneliness, longing, goals

Cry for help they know not lies

Misery, injustice, hope, ties

I hide the truth within my heart

Corruption, defeat, tolerance, decide

I kept in silence for only me

Shallow, finality, guilt, debate

I could have changed it from the start

Realization, courage, hurt, late

Silence isn't always key
