Silence No Longer

I speak for the silence and against the harassment

As I take you hand we will show the world

How marriage is as free as the wind

How love is and will always be unconditional

And that Don’t ask, don’t tell is no longer

The Bible screams words of hate from extremist

As we fight for our happiness and rights

Being gay is not a crime

Yet many try to tell us different

We will not let you hold us back any longer

We have and will remain standing in front of court houses

Standing for what we want, we will not move until wed

We will not be silent,

Why should we change for your beliefs?

Gay or straight we all will have happiness
