Silence of One

My voice has silenced, I cannot speak
O, how might I express
The sentiments which have afflicted me?
O, how may I confess?

My vocal chords are straining thus,
Yet words are left unsung
My lips have formed the sentences
O, what am I to become?

My heart has found a pen and page
Upon which it does pour,
The black ink river flows and flows,
Uncovers what hid before

My affections dance across the page,
While others weep and mourn
The words are thread to mend my heart
Which had been prior torn

Pen, unlock the vault that has
Forever been unopened
The page contains unspoken words
Which I have boldly penned

These words speak naught, yet can be heard
Alas, I've finally spoken
Through ink-ed words writ on a page
O, I have now awoken.
